Distinguished Service Award The Distinguished Service Award recognizes the hard work and commitment of citizens who have showed exemplary effort, energy, and dedication to the Ceres community and its activities.
Volunteer of the Year Award Volunteer of the Year recognizes an individual or group of individuals that have achieved any or all of the following: -- Shown commitment to their club, organization or community -- Is a mentor to others, providing inspiration and encouragement -- Supports various programs and activities throughout the community -- Performs unselfish acts of service in the Ceres community -- Exhibits a giving spirit in the community -- Demonstrates exceptional leadership skills on a local, county, state or national level
Young Citizen of the Year Award This award is presented to a young individual that has devoted exceptional service to the Ceres community. The requirements for this award include that the nominee must be within the ages of 11-18 and must reside within the Ceres Unified School District.
Large Business of the Year & Small Business of the Year Large & Small Business of the Year Awards recognizes those active businesses located or operating in the Ceres area that have demonstrated one or more of the following characteristics: -- Exceptional growth through additional creation of jobs -- Revenue growth -- Innovative products or services -- Provides exemplary customer service -- Volunteers in the Ceres community -- Demonstrates economic support of the Ceres area business communityLarge Business is any company with over 35 employees and Small Business of the Year is 35 employees or less. Businesses with multiple locations must count all employees of the company regardless of locations.
Legacy Award The Legacy Award recognizes individuals and/or businesses that have contributed through service, support or volunteer efforts, to the Ceres community for more than 40 years.
Citizen of the Year Lifetime Achievement Award This award is presented to someone that has devoted extraordinary service to the Ceres community and is selected by past recipients of the award. The recipient of this award has performed meritorious service above and beyond that which would be expected of a citizen. This extraordinary service can be exemplified as a part of their vocation or as community service at large. Noteworthy service shall be considered over the lifetime of the nominee but particular attention shall be given to the last 15 years.
